EZHoods has one opening for a hood and duct cleaner.
Hood cleaners clean the grease off of the cooking exhaust systems of commercial kitchens. They work mostly at night after facilities are closed. They work outside, on the roof of buildings, as well as inside the kitchen. They oftentimes work alone and must be able to interact professionally with restaurant management and staff.
This hood cleaner position is responsible for the following:
1. Cleaning and maintenance of kitchen grease exhaust systems
2. Taking photos of their work and uploading them to the computer
4. Tracking their work using our specialized software
5. Calling and confirming cleaning appointments with restaurant staff
6. On some jobs, a hood cleaner may supervise and direct one or two helper as well.
Work Schedule:
This is a part-time, mostly nights position, 5 days a week, Sunday - Thursday, for up to 20 hours’ worth of work. Each job takes approximately 2 to 3 hours to complete, along with up to 30 minutes of office time. A hood cleaner is expected to do at least one job a night.
Pay Scale:
During the first two weeks of training, a trainee hood cleaner will make $35 per job. Thereafter, when he can clean hoods independently, the hood cleaner will be paid $86 per job, or approximately $24 per hour.
We can and will train the right person looking to make a long term commitment to grow with our company, so prior hood cleaning experience is not needed.
Applicants must fulfill the following minimum criteria:
1. Possess a bachelor’s degree
2. Possess demonstrated leadership ability
3. Be physically able to climb ladders, work with chemicals, and work outside at night, even during the winter months
4. Possess a valid driver's license and an insured, reliable vehicle with a trailer hitch that is capable of towing 1,000 lbs.
5. Possess a cell phone
6. Possess basic computer skills, i.e. be able to navigate the internet, use email, type at least 30 wpm, and open, close, and save files
